Nights that are as safe as the days

Trained, awake staff in the home overnight, for people whose needs don’t stop when the sun goes down, and for families who need to sleep.

Overview

What this service is

For some people the hardest hours are between bedtime and breakfast: getting up safely, managing confusion or anxiety, following a nighttime routine, or simply not being alone. Night supervision places a trained Goldenview staff member in the home overnight to provide oversight, reassurance, and help when it’s needed.

Overnight staff follow the same support plan as the daytime team, so routines don’t fall apart at 9 p.m. Families get a full night’s sleep knowing someone reliable is awake and paying attention.

Common questions

Things families and case managers ask us

Is the overnight staff awake the whole time?

Yes. Night supervision is an awake-staff service. The staff member remains alert and available throughout the shift rather than sleeping on site.

What if the person needs help with training or skills at night?

Night supervision covers oversight and support. If a person’s goals include building nighttime routines or skills, we can pair it with individualized home supports with training.

Can this be combined with daytime services?

Absolutely. Many people receive night supervision alongside homemaker, companion, or in-home support services, all under one plan and one provider.

Next step

Ask about night supervision for someone you know

Call, email, or send a referral. A person answers within one business day and helps you figure out which services fit and how to get them authorized.
