A real person answers, any hour

On-call support for people living in their own homes, so an unexpected moment never has to become an emergency room visit or a night spent alone and afraid.

Overview

What this service is

Living independently shouldn’t mean being on your own when something goes wrong. Our 24-hour emergency assistance service gives each person a direct line to trained Goldenview staff who know them, know their plan, and can respond right away, whether that means talking through a problem over the phone or coming to the home.

The service is built for the moments that fall between scheduled visits: a fall in the night, a medication mix-up, a lost key, a sudden change in health, or simply a wave of anxiety that needs a calm voice. We respond first and sort out paperwork later.

Common questions

Things families and case managers ask us

Is this the same as calling 911?

No. Our line is for the moments that need a familiar person quickly but may not need an ambulance. If a situation is life-threatening, we call 911 with you and stay involved until family and the care team are updated.

Who will answer the phone?

A trained Goldenview staff member who has access to the person’s support plan, emergency contacts, and preferences. We don’t route calls through an outside answering service.

How is this authorized?

24-hour emergency assistance is a 245D basic support service. It is usually written into a person’s support plan by their county or tribal case manager and funded through a waiver. We can walk you through the steps.
