Good company, real connection

Non-medical support and companionship for adults who want to stay engaged with their community, their interests, and the people around them.

Overview

What this service is

Loneliness is one of the most common, and most overlooked, reasons people struggle at home. Adult companion services pair each person with a consistent, carefully matched companion who shows up for shared meals, errands, appointments, conversation, and outings, on a schedule that fits their life.

Companions also lend a hand with light everyday tasks along the way, but the point of the service is the relationship. We match on personality and interests, not just availability, and we keep the same companion whenever we can.

Common questions

Things families and case managers ask us

Is this the same as a home health aide?

No. Adult companion services are non-medical. Companions do not provide nursing or hands-on personal cares; they provide presence, conversation, supervision, and help with the day’s errands and activities.

Can we choose the companion?

We do the matching, but we take preferences seriously, from language and shared interests to personality. If a match isn’t working, tell us and we’ll find someone else.

Can companions drive?

Yes, many can. Transportation is arranged as part of the plan so the person can get to appointments, activities, and errands.

Next step

Ask about adult companion services for someone you know

Call, email, or send a referral. A person answers within one business day and helps you figure out which services fit and how to get them authorized.
